Weaverville – Since last week, the Weaverville branch of TD Bank on Weaver Blvd has been closed with the explanation of “temporarily closed” on the drive-thru window and pointing customers to their Burnsville branch. Because of COVID-19, the drive-thru is where most to the bank has been conducting business.
The Tribune contacted the bank and was given the following statement by Paige Wilkins, a Corporate Communications Associate, as to why the closure has occured:
“Our TD Bank store in Weaverville has been temporarily closed since June 17 due to staffing issues. We expect to reopen the store in the near future. In the meantime, we encourage customers to use the onsite ATM at the Weaverville store, or call or visit our store on College Street in Asheville, which remains open for drive-through service. Customers may also use our convenient online and mobile banking platforms, or bank by phone by calling us at 1-800-YES-2000.”
