Operation Stay Warm Coming

Free Coats, Hats, Gloves, Scarves and Winter Gear for People in Need

Staff Report

Asheville –  The first of January, unlike last year’s, has been unseasonably warm, but that won’t last. So on Saturday, January 19 from 12 – 3 pm Western Carolina Rescue Ministries (WCRM) will host their first-ever “Operation Stay Warm”.

This event will help benefit those in our area who are in need of winter gear such as coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and hand warmers. This is a time where individuals in need are invited to come to WCRM and shop for their very own winter gear – absolutely free! The event takes place at WCRM located at 225 Patton Avenue. Please contact Alexa Kincaid, Director of Community Relations to get more information or to become involved.
