Woodfin – A search for a new Town Administrator for Woodfin after the passing of longtime Town Administrator Jason Young has ended. The town has hired to lead the staff and help set a course for the town, Eric Hardy.
“We do have someone who’s coming to work July 1. His name is Eric Hardy,” Woodfin Mayor Jerry VeHaun told the Tribune. According to VeHaun, Hardy has been the Performance Manager for Buncombe County since 2014. He was also the Assistant Town Manager for the Town of Davidson, North Carolina, and was the assistant director of finance for the City of Asheville.
“I’m glad to see him come on board,” said the mayor, “I worked with him directly at Buncombe County and know his abilities. He’s really good on financial stuff. He is just a good manager on handling his job with the county.”
Harty attended high school in Ohio, earned an accounting degree at Bob Jones University and an MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill.
