Weaverville – The annual performance of Handel’s Messiah by the Weaverville Music Study Club has been postponed for this year. The Weaverville Music Study Club Board has made the decision to postpone this year’s planned presentation of George Handel’s Messiah. Originally scheduled for December 6, 2020, it has been moved to December 5, 2021. A tradition in the North Buncombe area since 1948, the Community Chorus is made up of area individuals and members of choirs, also members of the UNC-A University Chorale. Given our current social gathering limitations caused by COVID-19, the Board feels postponing until 2021 is the best decision for everyone.
