Weaverville – As part of the company’s aggressive growth initiative, ALDI has announced a new product expansion to deliver more of the fresh products they say customers want most.
With an emphasis on fresh, organic and easy-to-prepare options, the German Headquarter-based grocer says that an additional 20 percent of products in its Weaverville and Asheville area stores, will be new compared to last year. In addition, in the fresh food category, the increase will be by 40 percent.
With more than 1,800 stores across the country, ALDI is in the midst of what a press release called “an accelerated growth plan, investing more than $5 billion to remodel and expand its store count to 2,500 by the end of 2022.”
New ALDI private-label products include kombucha, veggie noodles, organic meats, kale and quinoa crunch burgers, gluten-free bagels and more, as a spokesman for the company said.
ALDI operates those 1,800 US stores in 35 states. More than 40 million customers each month benefit from the simple, streamlined approach ALDI brings to retailing.
