NBHS – With less than a week remaining until the Western Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament in Skyland, Blackhawk basketball has their sights set on a sixth-consecutive regular season title. And you don’t have to miss a second of the chase for the conference crown.
Coverage of North Buncombe tournament basketball will be broadcast live on local sports website CarolinaSportsNut.com. Based in Asheville, the broadcast team of 25-year-veteran Chris Kelly and first-year sportscaster Caleb Peek have covered the 2018-19 North Buncombe football and basketball teams from wire to wire. They followed Blackhawk football until their elimination from postseason play Nov. 16, and Kelly, the Voice of the Blackhawks, says that CSN will provide live, local coverage of North Buncombe basketball, led by North Carolina’s leading scorer Ren Dyer, until the very end.
“I am an Asheville native and have always been all about local sports,” said Kelly, CSN founder and president. “I’ve been doing this for over 25 years, and I love working with our young student-athletes, coaches and fans. It is just as important now as it’s ever been, especially as our athletes get bigger, better and sharper. I’m honored to work with some great people as we at CarolinaSportsNut.com and our radio partners, 95.5 WART-FM and 102.9 WMQL-FM, work to make our craft better each year.”
The 2019 WMAC Tournament will run Feb. 18-22 at T.C. Roberson High School. Official WMAC tournament brackets will be released later in the week. Stay tuned to CarolinaSportsNut.com and follow CSN on Facebook for tip-off times and other breaking sports news.
