Morgan Cook has completed her summer internship at the Tribune and now looks forward to her freshman year at UNC- Greensboro.
“I had a great summer at The Tribune. It was a great decision,” said Morgan. “I learned so much and got to explore a new type of writing that I never really got to do in school. I honestly don’t have critiques, I felt engaged the entire time.”
During Cook’s internship she wrote a variety of different types of articles including person profiles, government meetings and arrest reports. She also took a tour of the Tribune’s print facilities and learned a number of journalism job-related tasks.
While Cook is now off at college you may still see her byline in the newspaper as she has indicated she’d like to continue to write profiles and history articles from time to time as a freelance reporter. Cook has a couple of articles in this week’s newspaper.
