At a very young age I knew I wanted to work with animals. Every stray animal, or believed to be stray, was my newest furry friend and special project. At 19 I started working for a zoo, working my way into becoming a reptile handler followed by working in a kennel where I had my first hands on grooming experience. The following years I was working for multiple grooming shops, working out of my home and others, clipping and bathing fur babies of all shapes and sizes until finally, in 2013 I purchased Shear-N-Shine. From there it was full steam ahead with renovating a store front, delving into the world of small, local business and all while raising my two sweetest girls, Nevaeh and Ariah on our very own mini-farm (chicks and pigs included!) We’ve tripled our clientele, if not more so, in the last 5 years and I have prided myself in building strong, personal and professional relationships with most-if not all- of my Shear-N-Shine family. We are continually grateful for the support of our community and those who have helped myself, my family, and this business, thrive in such a competitive profession. To those old and new to Shear-N-Shine, I would like to reassure you that we are an ever growing and changing business, so any insight, comments or suggestions are more than welcome, as I am forever striving to provide you all with the best quality care for your lovely fur babies.

Love Shear and Shine, they do a great job on my yorkie “Zoe”, very friendly and the price is great.
Love Shear N Shine and they always do an amazing job on my boy. They always seem willing to get me in quick and never make me feel bad about how he looks when he comes in or what a pain he can be to groom. Wouldn’t dream of taking Jasper anywhere else.
I moved to Asheville in December and tried a few different groomers before my mom found Shear and Shine. They are by far the best groomers in the area and for an unbelievable price. My family takes all 5 of our very quirky dogs here. I started bringing my Golden Retriever as a puppy and I can tell how well the staff works with animals based on his demeanor and appearance at pick-up. I work at a local doggie daycare and I ALWAYS recommend Shear and Shine to the clients that ask for groomer recommendations.
I’ve taken my dog here for 4years. He still walks in excited and happy!! These girls create a loving, warm, calm enviornment for dogs and animal owners as well!! 10 stars in my book.
We brought our two dogs (one of which is a big guy who HATES for his feet to be touched and usually has to be sedated at the vet for nail trimming) here after a recommendation from a stranger. I have to admit, I was skeptical about them being able to cut our big dog’s nails, even after my pug did fine having hers done. We brought him in, and he was out all trimmed and calm in less than 15 minutes. THEY ARE AMAZING!
I got my dog Lillybelle hair done today and she looks great! And smells even better! Everyone who works there is very nice and always willing to work with you! Definitely will be going back!
Strongly recommend these ladies!! The young lady that is the business owner took my dawg at the last minute, and when I apologized for his being a little nippy about his front paws, she was so forgiving and said he was just stressed.
I have 2 VERY uncooperative doggies. Sheer in Shine has been trimming their nails with no problem, they are so kind and patient with my fur babies 😊 Today my fluffy Pom/dachshund got a shave for the first time and I am completely amazed at how well he did with them and how awesome he looks!!! He is like a whole new dog 😊
