Weaverville – For years, Trout Insurance Services has been proud of its local presence, as each of its agents has deep roots in Western North Carolina. Recently, they added two members to their team, what Jan Trout is calling, “The next Generation.”
Jennifer Trout, daughter of owner Dave Trout, grew up in Weaverville, attending Buncombe County Schools. She continued her education at UNC- Chapel Hill. Jennifer has excelled mathematically and is highly analytical. She has had lots of training and has been in insurance for seven years.
Jessica Cody also joined Trout Insurance Services and grew up in school alongside Jennifer. Jessica attended Berea College and continued to Montreat where she achieved an M.B.A. in business. Jessica is an educator, rather than a salesman, and is highly intentional with each of her clients. This clientele dedication helped Jessica receive an award that showed growth in her commercial insurance by 40%. She is also in the top 5% in the Medicare market. Jessica commented that, “Each and every day I am committed to be my best.” She also said regarding Trout Insurance Services, “I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.”
This statement came from several of the agents at Trout Insurance Services, and is a credit to how family-oriented Dave and Jan Trout run their business. As a whole, each agent said they loved who they worked with and who they worked for at the agency.
Trout Insurance, in addition to expanding its team, is also expanding services. Jessica Cody, Dave Trout, and Jennifer Trout have been licensed to assist with all lines of insurance including Home and Auto, Commercial, Life and Health, and Medicare. Jeremy Sheridan heads up the group health insurance and employee benefits division. He is also licensed in Medicare, life, long term care, and disability. Steve Dillingham, retired regional manager of Mutual of Omaha, has joined the team as well, with over 30 years experience in Medicare.
John Phillips will be heading up an expansion of the agency in northern counties, headquartered in Yancey County. David McIndoo, located in Nashville, Tennessee, hopes to serve more in the country music business.
The agency has also been and will continue to help local and regional hospitals by assisting patients with their coverage. Trout Insurance Services is a part of the largest brokerage house in the country, allowing them to shop and compare for clients. They are located at 29 North Main Street and online at troutinsurance.com
